What runners say
Running along the Alameda in Sporting colours with leonine supporters lining the route is something you feel in your gut. It's not just a race — it's belonging to something bigger.
Why it's special
The race organised by the Sporting CP Foundation, one of Portugal's most iconic clubs: a morning of sport and leonine spirit at Lisbon's Alameda da Universidade.
What's around
The Corrida Sporting is organised by the Sporting CP Foundation — one of Portugal's most historic and beloved football clubs — and takes place on 15 November at Lisbon's Alameda da Universidade, one of the city's most elegant boulevards. The event is open to everyone: there's a 10K for runners, the 4 km Caminhada Família Leonina for those who want a more relaxed morning, and the Corrida Jubas for children aged 5 to 13. An inclusive format, with the energy and colours of the Sporting world as a backdrop. Outside Portugal almost nobody knows it exists. And yet running a race with Sporting CP's DNA — surrounded by green and white scarves and leonine supporters — is an experience that goes far beyond just running.
