What runners say
It's incredible to think that over 10,000 people choose running together as the last thing they do in the year... the atmosphere is truly magical!
Why it's special
This will be the last race you run in 2026: thousands of runners take to the streets just hours before New Year's Eve dinner.
What's around
Every year on December 31st, thousands of runners gather in the historic centre of Barcelona to welcome the new year on foot. The course winds through Gothic churches and medieval alleyways. It is a purely Catalan event, with no marketing outreach whatsoever. It doesn't appear in international running guides and has never been covered by European running media. The race takes its name from the Catalan mythological figure of the "Home dels Nassos" (the Man of Noses). According to tradition, this character has as many noses as days remain in the year — since December 31st is the last day, he has just one, just like the days left before the year ends.
