What's around
The Maratón Corralejo Grandes Playas runs along the beaches and dunes of the Corralejo Natural Park, in the north of Fuerteventura. The course follows the coastline throughout, with white dunes on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other. Now in its fourth edition, the race offers four distances: 5 km, 10 km, half marathon and full marathon. It welcomes all levels, from first-timers to seasoned runners, in a relaxed and local atmosphere. Fuerteventura has never featured in the European running imagination. Yet its natural setting makes this one of the most beautiful hidden races on the continent.
